Entry Note: As a precautionary measure, the following FUSEmon is a digital specimen in order to prevent any damages to the facilities. No actual fusion has been performed yet using the following materials.

"It's been awhile, but here's another FUSEmon for the 'Great Eon' group requested by the same Scientist of Alto Mare. This one draws inspiration from a preexisting fusion from the facility, Mega Sylgardia. While I myself am not sure about its relation to the other two, I'm sure the aspiring lab man will educate you all about it briefly. Until next time."

Zetta. The name vibrated around my head for many sleepless nights. While everyone else was able to sleep peacefully after a hard day's worth of work, even the constant fatigue that overtook me could not put me to sleep - the moment I closed my eyes, I felt the image of the ancient Deoxys extending its tainted limbs toward me as if it was inviting me to join it in its slaughters. I wouldn't be shocked if I was already affected by its influence, somehow.

Who was this extraterrestrial, and what was its motivation of bringing absolute extinction of the Eon Pokémon caste? From what I had gathered from my research, it can only be described in one statement: its emergence into prominence within our universe was the inevitable birth of evil itself.

Siegfried, Ohrelia, and Razekros could only express blank expressions of indescribable hate at the mention of the name - surprising for a race of rather peaceful beings that were more than willing to share their side of history with us. Even when Team Rocket constantly badgered us with their antics (should I really be saying that when they're running around with firearms and participating in more direct and violent crimes now?), the trio were more than willing to not just defend their sacred home on the seas, but also its good-hearted inhabitants and visitors. Siegfried and Razekros, realizing the repercussions should the information regarding this alien terror be released to the general public, did not discuss it with anyone else but me. I've already sworn my part of the oath, though I must say…I am prepared to reconstruct him digitally. Both are fine with that, but are wary of the possibility of the research stolen for means that I would rather not think about. Is the risk worth it, having someone such as Team Rocket stealing my research for their own diabolical purposes?

"Rebuilding Zetta digitally will give us a good idea of what to expect of his inevitable return. However, I must warn you…his genetic structure is always changing. Adapting. Evolving. Mutating. All for the sole purpose of enslaving higher forms of sentient life to augment his constantly evolving cellular system," Siegfried warned me ominously.

"Not to mention he's probably grown a dozen times stronger since our last encounter," Razekros added, admiring his wrist blades with a sense of shimmering interest. "But so have we, and we'll be prepared. So go ahead and build him. I'm itching to test my combat prowess against him anyways…" (I suppose his armored appearance isn't for show after all!)

Meanwhile, Ohrelia kept quiet throughout these discussions. Maybe it's just a sensitive topic to her, but I can't exactly blame the Latias. What I'm doing can be potentially questionable in terms of ethical morals, and attempting to rebuild a force of extinction can be compared to playing with fire in an oil spill. A risk I'm willing to take, however…

A stormy night descended upon the city as the research team continued its work into studying the typing that made up Zetta, an unidentified type of sentient mutagen codenamed 'Phazon'. Should our efforts carry us through and yield its success, it may be one of the greatest scientific discoveries that the human race might ever encounter - and as I mentioned in my last report, a possible key to surviving the next extinction event that may rival the one that nearly spelled doom for the biosphere in Earth's prehistoric ages.

But before I was able to focus on any further thoughts, one of my interns led a new visitor to me. It seems like yet another new legendary has decided to join the party (where the heck do they keep coming from, because is there something I'm missing out on here?) - she was possibly the most beautiful Latias I've ever seen. I really hope Ohrelia didn't hear me…I did compliment on her pretty looks, but this newcomer really takes the cake.

Floating quietly in the drenching rain as her eyes were cast out towards the churning sea, I apprehensively approached her down at one of the docks. She noticed me almost immediately and smiled upon noticing her visitor. "So, you're the Scientist of Alto Mare that Razekros mentioned earlier. I knew you'd show up. But what I want to know is where your motivation of studying our home and kin originated from."

At that moment, I was dead sure that she had read my mind. "Well…," I began, unsure and trying to think up of a plausible yet honest answer. "I read the fabled stories of Alto Mare and the Eon Pokémon as a young child. But no one was able to decipher what the so-called devastation from the stars was. That's what drove me to become a scientist. Partially, at least. That and being a Pokémon Trainer got old fast."

The new Latias, whose design literally made her look like a royal figure of some kind, lowered her head towards me before staring into my eyes, as if she realized that there was more to than what I just mentioned. "You must be curious about my background. You can call me Gardias, the Arcean Princess of my kin - the ones your fellow colleagues call the Eon Pokémon. Just don't ask why I resemble Mega Diancie or take elements from Mega Gardevoir - they're just coincidences."

I blinked a few times, trying to analyze how that was possible. After all, Ohrelia was the first and possibly the oldest Latias alive, so it certainly triggered a bit of confusion right there. Of course, I didn't bother to ask why she bore a resemblance to the two aforementioned mega evolutions. "Wait…you mean, Ohrelia isn't the one in charge?"

Gardias shook her head. "Like you humans, we too eventually step down from our positions. She wanted to pursue other things, and being a leader can be stressful - especially if you assume the title for over a hundred thousand years. It isn't for me though, and even if it was, Ohrelia would be glad to help me out in any way possible!" She giggled cheerfully while flying several circles around me in excitement. I have to admit, Gardias is a lot more cheerful than the others…maybe it has something to do with her appearance. Amazed and slightly intimidated at the same time, I could only study her in awe before she broke the silence. Must be the case of mind reading, again - though I would've wished to have that power when I was younger, I learned that there were some things in this world that were better off unseen.

"So you've finally reunited us, I see! I give you my deepest thanks - however, words can only speak so much," the great Latias hummed a bit before continuing her statement. "Do you mind if I join your research team? My expertise will definitely help you with your studies!"

"Oh, well…," I scratched the back of my head nervously. "I suppose, but I'm no Pokémon Trainer. That and I don't really believe in confining a majestic being such as you in a Pokéball." Maybe it was just a personal opinion, but I would always let my closest Pokémon walk alongside me, provided it was an available option. At least they would be able to defend themselves should either of us come under direct attack, which was a very plausible scenario.

Gardias laughed humorously at my response before she rubbed my hair playfully. "Well, I'm definitely flattered by your words! But don't worry about it - if you're feeling unsure, treat this as a mutual friendship. Deep down, I know you possess a good heart with no ill intentions in mind. There is a lot more that I also wish to learn about humankind ever since I last interacted with them centuries ago. You'll be a wonderful guide." She finished before nuzzling my face with hers. She's definitely a lot more affectionate in contrast to Razekros. The latter looks like he's ready to ramp the body count at any moment. "So, how about it? Will you accept my offer to join you in your adventures?" She raised her right claw and offered it to me.

How can I possibly say no? I suppose I've found myself a new friend…and a rather powerful one at that! Though I must wonder how the blazes I will be able to care for such a powerful being, considering I haven't tried my hand at being a Pokémon Trainer for a very long time.

"Like I always tell them, I'll do my best to not disappoint you!" I responded humorously before shaking her claw with my own right hand. Gardias could only release her signature laugh once more before she happily offered to fly me back to the Alto Mare Museum. Hopefully, Ohrelia and Razekros would be happy with this decision of hers.

Next up, gathering the necessary research and sources to construct the alien monstrosity. I've seen other scientists display their research in showcasing unholy beasts that, for some inexplicable reason, fight much better against legendaries. Now it's my turn to do the same by bringing a force of extinction to life…
