He might be a spammer, but he's right about ponies. It's a show for 2yr old girls, and I honestly can't find a single aspect that is fun to watch for adults/teenagers. It's a show about talking ponies with cheesy storylines about friendship.
I'm not saying people aren't entitled to their opinions at all. In fact, I hate people who think others aren't. And I'm really not even sure why it's bugging me at all. Maybe it's because it seems like people aren't giving Game Freak enough credit? I really do not know.
I feel the same as you. Mainly because it's a bunch of people squeeing over fan-art, when game freak employs professional designers that actually are qualified and know what they're doing. Credit where credit is due. In response I usually say "Guess who is getting paid tons of money to make these designs? Not fan-artists, that's for sure!".
Technically speaking it is one guy (with 1 or 2 helpers now and then). basically 1 guy has given us every pokemon for the past almost twenty years. that IS impressive. and i agree that it bothers me a bit too. when people say it once or twice it is okay, but when they just continually repeat it, it is annoying.
It is like people who hate movie sequels. there are some really great sequels, but some people will hate them just because they are sequels rather than judging by substance. when people continually say that these fan-arts are better than the original, their opinion holds less weight because their opinion seems very bias.
Well I do believe it was because of Mega Sableye they think why, it wasn't that creative, they just changed his eyes and gave him a huge rubee. I even hear from my family some pokemon design they hate, ex. Kelfki. I am a Metagross fan though so I was very happy hearing he has a Mega Evolution now! Its so badass!!! xD
I think Gamefreak does a really good job as well! ^^
I think the Mega Sableye was pretty cool. It is not as over the top looking as some of the other megas, but it's not really meant to be. I think the great ruby shield is a really cool concept. i think sableye would look really weird with flashy/bulky additions, especially considering where they went with mega gengar (which has similar typing)
I just wished it was just a little bit cooler after all its the only other Pokemon thats a Dark and Ghost type, and it got a Mega Evolution that would make it better, I could see what you mean how they could have made him look weird, but they could have went at a another route for him. Like I kind of picture him being more of a speed pokemon than a defensive one.
Saying that does no-one any good. Game Freak has qualified designers that make tons of money, vs some fan drawing stuff for the internet? Credit where credit is due. This one looks too much like part bug-type to me, with that segmented behind.
Just saying, but it wouldn't be physically possible for this thing to walk on two legs with the heavy tail at the back, as well as the position of the hind-legs, anyways. It would be off-balance constantly, and would struggle to move every time it did so. I like the overall design, but since I tend to over-analyze stuff, it just bothers me a bit. Think I'll stick to the official design. xD Still, I *do* like your concept, so please don't think I'm "hating," as the hip young people like to say.
my ideas for a mega meta: steel/fighting type hp: 80 atk: 155 def: 170 spa: 135 spd: 140 spe: 20 ability: analytic. if the pokemon is hit by a foe's move it's own attack is boosted x1.3 new move: nanoengineers. heals the user and any steel type allies by 25% hp at the end of each turn for five turns, and prevents/heals major status over that period. new move: nanobot swarm. steel status move. traps the foe for three turns during which their attack and special attack are harshly lowered, and they are forced to go for attacking moves. the stats return to normal after the three turns. with analytic, low speed, huge bulk, access to reliable recovery and good offensive typing, this thing would be an incredible threat. trapping a foe with nanobots where for three turns it is forced to go for hugely diminished attacking moves, during which metagross could set up curses, set up nanoengineers, or just hit a trapped bulky pokemon massively hard with the boost from analytic. it could run either special or physical with good STAB options on both sides. an invested meteor mash or aura sphere from this thing after it soaked up a foe's attack would be utterly devastating, and its immunity to toxic would make it an even sturdier tank. could also be used to good effect on a trick room team even though it no longer gets its analytic boost. thoughts? too OP? something i've overlooked that would cripple it?
