I like how your Sceptile design looks much closer to actual Sceptile that the Game Freak version. I really do think the ability you listed should have been the one that was used, for it makes so much more sense... not to mention make him FAR more useful, well in singles/ general competative that is.
Man, i thought i was the only one that believed that mega Sceptile should've of gotten a Dark typing and a ability that increases Crits (Sniper). lol he looks like a crit type Pokemon. He should of gotten moves like Air cutter, cross poison, shadow claw, and slash as well. We regardless can't wait for Ruby and sapphire
Gen 3 was my favorite, so of course I loved hearing that too.
Also, Sceptile is my number one favorite Pokemon. (Also, Sableye my second, and he just got a mega) Sceptile and Sableye have taught me something: while megas are cool, they need to be designed GOOD. You're changing a Pokemon, and giving it a stronger form with a new design. This design MUST be good. If your favorite Pokemon gets a mega, you will judge it very harshly and critically if it is not just short of perfect. You take a kind of personal offence to a crappy mega for your favorite Pokemon. So that's taught me something, definitely.
Anyway, yeah, Mega Sceptile is cool, but I feel it could be better. Though, to be fair, I really do have high standards for it.

hey dragonith, do you thing lightning rod is a typo? I hope so. it makes no sense to give something that double resists electric already such an ability, no one would ever try to hit it even without the ability, and compared to swift swim and speed boost it isnt as self reliant,
I want to see with with 170 speed and 150 special attack btw =w= that would kick the crap out of blaziken
Well if I remember correctly Lighting Rod will make it so that it can't be paralyzed by Thunder Wave and since it is a grass type it is naturally immune to Stun Spore making it somewhat harder to paralyze but it probably would've been better off with Limber in that case. I guess you'll have to pair it with something faster than it so it can get the Special Attack boost. Maybe something that can help with the 4 X weakness to Ice.
Mega Sceptile and Mega Swampert have been confirmed for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. They've been leaked from CoroCore magazine along with the new designs of May and Brendan, Team Aqua and Team Magma, Mega Diancle and details about the new forms of Groudon and Kyogre.
If they are going to do a Mega Sceptile, I think they should definitely make it a Leaf/Dragon type combination. Sure, it'd be 4x weak against Ice but look at the many benefits it provides. Besides just looking at Sceptile makes you think that it is a Born-Dragon type. Personally, I'm rooting for a Grass/Dragon type.
