Excelo Region Legend Excerpt: Machinbyrd-16

"With support from Mossdeep City in the Hoenn Region, the Excelo Region Space Program went underway without issues. The 16th space shuttle developed, Machinbyrd-16, was declared the fastest rocket created around the world. Its light build and sleek design would allow it to venture beyond the known sectors of our galaxy with ease. The Machinbyrd-16's mission was simple: Reach the far ends of our known universe and deploy the satellite probe within its cargo. From there everyone would be able to see just what lies out there beyond the stars..."

"Within just a few years, the Machinbyrd-16 had reached its destination at the outer rim of our star system. However, its final task was met with an unfortunate accident. A massive object struck the Machinbyrd-16 just as it was deploying the satellite probe and all communication with the shuttle was lost. Thus with the failure of the Machinbyrd-16, the Space Program came to a close shortly after."

"Several years later, the same communication signature from the Machinbyrd-16 was received by the Mossdeep Space Center briefly before disappearing once more. Reports say the signal was close, but none have been able to pinpoint its exact location... or if it was the same signal at all."

*Charging, recharge turns, and negative stat loss from moves are eliminated at the cost of heavy recoil.
Example(s): Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Solar Beam, Overheat.

*Signature Move: Satellite Cannon
Category: Special
Type: Electric
Power: 150
PP: 5
Accuracy: 90%
The target is hit with a powerful laser barrage. The user can't move on the next turn.

*Signature Move: Reactor Destroyer
Category: Special
Type: Electric
Power: 80
PP: 5
Accuracy: 100%
The user detonates its core, letting loose an intense electromagnetic wave that paralyzes all active Pokemon in battle. The user faints upon using this move.

*New Move: Star Burst
Category: Special
Type: Steel
Power: 90
PP: 10
Accuracy: 90%
The target is hit by the cosmic radiance of a star. This may also raise the user's Special Attack stat.

*New Move: Magnetic Pulse
Category: Special
Type: Electric
Power: 70
PP: 20
Accuracy: 100%
An attack that disrupts technology in a wide radius. The target's item is disabled afterwards, nullifying its effect.
-Note #1: The item is disabled for 4 turns or if the Pokemon is switched out.
-Note #2: If a Pokemon has a Megastone or similar item and hasn't transformed yet, this move prevents the transformation.

=============================

An now, for a new reveal! The first of the final two unrevealed legendaries, the fallen satellite, Stratelord!

Enter the Star Reactor by Dragonith Legend of the Star Reactor by Dragonith LotSR Pg 1-2 by Dragonith Excelo Region - The Star Reactor by Dragonith
Stratelord existed 6 years ago and has never left the conceptual phase until now. I've teased it repeatedly over the years, but I never released it due to dissatisfaction with its original design and outside factors delaying it. An old sketch (non-silhouetted) existed back in 2011, but it's been since lost to time. The design was more elongated with stars impaled all over its body, signifying how the Pokemon was heavily damaged upon colliding with the foreign object. However, it just felt too clunky in execution and with the dawn of Pokemon X/Y, I had to avoid making its design too similar to the newly arrived death bird, Yveltal. As such, the original design was scrapped. I opted for a more draconian design instead for the second take, giving Stratelord four legs and satellite dish styled wings, but once again the design didn't feel right.
Stratelord 2017 (Scrapped) by Dragonith
Now fast forward to 2017, Stratelord and another legendary remained as the final two Pokemon left to design for my Fakedex. Time was ticking as I wanted to fulfill my promise of finishing the Fakedex by the end of the year. Sudden inspiration hit me while planning these two out. I decided to base Stratelord off of the constellation Aquila while still maintaining the satellite idea. The first draft was a mix of the old design from 2011 and the new idea with an asymmetrical design. However, this looked much too complicated with its rough appearance. The second and final draft dropped the asymmetry and made the design more eagle-shaped, now finally scrapping the 2011 design for good.

I really must say, it feels like a huge weight has finally been lifted off my shoulders. You're finally free, Stratelord! Sorry for keeping you down for so long! And now for the competitive analysis!

Stratelord is an artificial Pokemon with a Sp. Atk stat on par with that of a star. It's signature ability, Overload, only further emphasizes its dangerous potential, allowing it to spam its signature move Satellite Cannon without fear of recharging. However, this comes with its own risks as well. Stratelord will not last long at all due to the additional recoil, putting this mighty satellite constantly on the edge of life and death with every attack. Should it be deemed necessary, Stratelord can even sacrifice itself with Reactor Destroyer, paralyzing all active Pokemon in battle (more effective in double battles!). Stratelord is moderately bulky outside of its offensive prowess, but its also fairly slow for its size. It also lacks Levitate, having to rely on Magnet Rise in order to avoid its crippling x4 weakness to Ground. Those points aside, Stratelord's certainly a force to be reckoned with. No Pokemon wants to be on the receiving end of that cannon! Charge up and fire the star destroyer!
