Despite Chompel's cuteness, weirdness, creepiness, however you want to put it, Carnisnail is the true focus for this concept.

I never knew such a thing existed lol. Until I saw that article, I thought all snails were herbivorous. The thought of a giant carnivorous snail with a shell the size of a human fist lit up the inspiration bulbs in my head for this Fakemon idea. Further research into the Powelliphanta (the animal in question) reveals they are also commonly known as 'Amber Snails', making the addition of amber shells a must. This then further connected to more inspirations. Being a carnivore, and now with the addition of fossilized tree sap in its design, I also began thinking of everyone's prehistoric badass: Tyrannosaurus Rex. Carnisnail, the Tyrant Snail King. Now that had a ring to it. The Powelliphanta pictures I seen had "scaley" skin, so adding dinosaurian features felt more in-tune with what I was aiming for (and the fact that its fossil record dates back to Gondwana was the icing on the cake). The final seal on this idea came from reading about its endangered status. While Carnisnail's real-life counterpart was put in this status due to animal interference, I decided to make Carnisnail's scarcity due to over hunting for its shell, a prized vanity among royalty.

Carnisnail and its previous form are both fantastic Trick Room abusers. Their speed just screams it. In addition to biting moves, Carnisnail also gets Ancient Power, Earthquake, Shell Smash, and ViceGrip. Its massive defenses and limited weaknesses will allow it to both plow through teams, and take heavy fire. So get ready to crush your opponents with this Snailosaurus!
