"The user digs underground on the first turn, then strikes immediately on the turn after! While devastating, sound-based moves will temporarily immobilize the user."
-Note #1: Sound-based moves (e.g. Hyper Voice, Sonic Boom, etc.) will hit Basteros even if its underground. An interrupted attack will leave Basteros unable to act for a turn, so go all-out!
-Note #2: This applies to ALL sound moves, including the ones that don't deal damage! If it makes a sound, Basteros is getting stuck!
-Note #3: Using Earthquake/Magnitude while the user is underground will deal heavy damage just like if it used Dig! (This only applies if Basteros is under the effects of Gravity, Smack Down, or if this move was used by a different Pokemon entirely!)

"Today the Purrfessor and I almost had a run in with the Devil of the Desert, Basteros! These meownstrous meownsters are actually herbivores, despite their intimidating ap-purr-ance. They love the taste of prickly cacti and Cacti Pokemon (which now you should be left wondering if it is a herbivore in the normal sense...). However, just because they like their veggies doesn't mean they are friendly, nya! A tyrannical temper flows through a Basteros' veins, getting angry at the slightest hint of provocation... or silly gesture. Basteros don't joke around, hunters. They excel at digging through the desert's dunes to surprise things that piss them off! What a buncha brutes!"

"And if you think that's bad, you haven't seen the females during the breeding season! Slightly larger than the males, the females' skins turn pitch black when pheromones are at their peak. Obviously this serves as a warning, as there's nothing nyastier than an overly emotional Basteros! Only fools would attack one in this state! It's a wonder how the males deal with this, nya. I guess you can say that they're an ameowsing lot of horny meownsters? Nyahaha... hey, Purrfessor? Where are nya going? It was a joke! Wait up! Nya, you humans are all too serious..."
