Monster Musume+: Dungeon Species

BEHOLDER Beholder-type
A powerful monoeye subspecies found within dungeons. Beholders are more commonly perceived as giant floating heads. This more humanoid form is assumed to be an illusionary form of magic, taken when the beholder wishes to be more approachable for conversation.

Xenophobic and self-important, beholders repel everyone away (even their own kind) with powerful laser attacks from their eyes. If their all-out attack fails, they resort to utilizing their grotesque mouth to deliver the final blow.

MIMIC Mimic-type
Extraspecies uncommonly found in the depths of dungeons. They are infamous for their ability to disguise themselves as treasure chests, tricking the oblivious. A mimic is comparable to that of a dullahan in the fact that the chest and the humanoid part of the mimic can act independent of one another. It's assumed that this is some form of symbiotic relationship.

While trickery is where the mimic excels, with time adventurers have wizened up to the mimic’s ruses and avoid the obvious toothy looking treasure chest. As such, the mimic now resorts to other tactics to draw in idiots... “BUY POTIONS 50G ONLY! GET ‘EM WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.”

THOQQUA Thoqqua-type
Infernal worms of the dungeon underground. A hardy extraspecies, thoqqua drill deep below the surface in pursuit of valuable minerals to eat. Thoqqua need to eat a lot to get their daily source of iron (and other important caloric intakes), so they sometimes resort to raiding dungeon treasure rooms, much to the chagrin of many adventurers.

A thoqqua’s massive pillar-esque formations on their arms are unsuitable for common tasks like hand holding. There are small finger like protrusions on the underside, but these are still in a poor position for any dexterous work. On the bright side, they’re great at punching things.

They main Little Mac in Super Smash Bros. and their favorite monster is the Brachydios.

MIND FLAYER Mind Flayer-type
Eldritch extraspecies with great affinity for dark magic. Said to be one of the strongest beings in the dungeon depths, mind flayers are nefarious for predating on the minds of adventurers, leading them astray before consuming their psyche completely.

Vastly intelligent as well, it is possible to reason with a mind flayer to avoid becoming a potential meal. A mind flayer craves knowledge above all else, so one would need to barter their lives with information. If all else fails, why not try challenging one to a game of chess? Always a fun past time before you get your brain snacked on.
